Visita Iglesia Batangas Loop

It was April 9 Araw ng Kagitingan last year when we had a Visita Iglesia in Batangas, There were already a number of pilgrims, buses and private vehicles because it was holiday then and the Lenten season would start the following week.  As always it is better to leave early cause we could have visited more churches in this province instead. But I’m certain that I would go back this year to ensure that we will not miss out other churches in the loop.

We started to take the SLEX and took Calamba exit going to the first station

St. Thomas Aquinas Church (Sto. Tomas)
St.Thomas Aquainas Church

Padre Pio Shrine (Sto.Tomas)

Padre-Pio

St. John the Evangelist Cathedral (Tanauan)
this church shouldn’t be missed because of the life size images of station of the cross
St.John the Evagelist Cathedral

Basilica of the Our Lady of the Immaculate of Conception (Batangas City)
we took the Star Tollway going to Batangas City and had our lunch in the benches beside the church
Basilica of the Our Lady of the Immaculate of Conception

Batangas-City-Church

Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Therese of Child Jesus (Sta. Teresita)
This time I just had a picture of the bell tower because of the ongoing mass for the wake but still able to do continue our station of the cross
St.-Therese

St. Roch (Lemery)
St. Roch Church

Basilica de Minor of St. Martin of Tours (Taal)
the largest church in Asia
Basilica de Minor of St. Martin of Tours

St. Martin of Tours altar
St.Martin-of-Tours-altar

St.Martin-of-Tours-Taal

We ended the loop in Taal and we were caught in traffic in Tagaytay going back to Laguna but it was indeed a piece of history and had a great experienced praying in every station.
